Old Amersham
The old town in the Misbourne valley has one of the best-kept high streets in the Chilterns. It's a conservation area, and many of the buildings are listed. Amersham-on-the-Hill
The newer town on the hill grew up around the station after the Metropolitan line arrived in 1892.
